Wattpad Anniversary

"Reading is probably what leads most writers to writing."

— Richard Ford

I started joining Wattpad in May 2014. I have no idea what particular day in May but I remember being so excited to start my own account back then. I first started with a username “demilovatic19,” as I am an avid fan of Demi Lovato during that time of the year.

But years passed by and it was on 25th of May 2019 when I decided to change it to "tripple_aaa." Since I have changed it on that day and that was only the particular day I remember, I might as well consider it as my wattpad anniversary because it is the birth of my username "tripple_aaa."

The story behind my username was on the name itself. Triple A. There are triple a's which stands for "An Aspiring Author." In my six years in Wattpad, I always aspire to write. I aspire to improve. I aspire to inspire. I aspire to share stories.

I am an aspiring author. (Triple A)

Before I started to be interested in writing, I fell in love with reading first.

I love where it leads me. I love the feelings it shows me. I love the way I can escape my reality by jumping into a fictional story.

Until I have discovered that you can also write your own stories in Wattpad. I suddenly felt that strong desire inside me that makes me want to write too.

I want to experience how it feels like to be a writer. I want to be the one holding the fate of the characters.

And, getting to experience it really felt free. I hold the plot. I hold the storyline. I hold my characters’ fate. It was like a sort of power that I want to hold within me for the rest of my life.

March 23, 2015 when I finally took the courage to publish my first story, "That Thing Called Love." At the age of thirteen, I know nothing about writing, the grammatical, typographical errors and the technicalities but I still tried it, anyways.

As I grew up, I learned a lot about writing and every single day, I gain knowledge. I am not a perfect Writer and I am not planning to be but I am a Writer in progress and will always be.

There came a time in my life where I gave up on my stories. It was the time when I realized that I can never be a writer but I will always stay as a reader. But looking back to those years that I unpublished all of my stories, it also became the time where I  gave myself time to think and reflect.

My stories have waited long enough to be continued and finished. There is a shout of calling that it is time that I finish what I have started.

Even though, I have no readers, publishing my story won’t be a waste. It will only be a waste if I don’t share it. Besides, the beauty of my story won’t be defined by the reads but my intention for writing it.

And in this blog, I want to introduce my stories as a celebration for my wattpad anniversary. Some of my stories are not yet done and are still on-going but you can still check them out by clicking the titles.

1. One-shot Series: The Seasons

I never thought I am capable of writing a one-shot story... not to mention, one-shot stories. Knowing myself, I tend to exceed the given word count I suppose to write. But, I guess, you will only know how you are capable of something once you started doing it.

My purpose for writing these one-shot stories is for someone to have something to read when they visit my profile. I am aware of the fact that not everyone likes reading and definitely not a fan of books with long chapters. Other people only want to read something that they can only finish within one sitting. When we see a lengthy post, we tend to skip it, right?

This concept has made me write one-shot stories. If people don’t like reading books, no problem. But, they can, at least, read one chapter?

My one-shot stories are also inspired by the seasons. Winter, summer, rainy, and autumn. I created a plot out of these seasons and entitled them as follow;

Falling Snow.

It Will Shine.

Pain, Pain, Go Away.

By Autumn, By Spring.

Not to brag but I really like the plots I have created for them, more especially that I have manage to carry out the entire plot within one chapter only. Everything took place in just one chapter. You can definitely finish all of these in one sitting.

My one-shot series can bring you to different places, meet new characters, experience different seasons and will give you love, pain, hope, and lessons at the same time. Reading these based on my experience, I can tell that all of these are worthy of your time.

2. Cambridge Academy Series (Formerly known as Love Series)

The Cambridge Academy is the first school I have created in mind. We were driving around town when we passed by into a building named “Cambridge.” Ever since that day, the name “Cambridge” got stuck in my mind until I decided to name it after the school I wanted to create for my characters. I have come up with five stories that will mostly revolve around the Cambridge Academy. I want to tell you the history of this school but you will find it out once you get to read the full series.

The five stories in the Cambridge Academy Series are entitled;

That Thing Called Love.

My Ideal Guy.

Back to Where we Belong.

Two Pieces. (To be posted.)

The Story of Us. (To be posted.)

All of the main leads are studying in the Cambridge Academy and almost all scenarios will take place in that school. In this series, the characters will struggle upon finding themselves, to embrace their life’s purpose, to learn with their mistakes, and most especially it is in this school where they have found their inner selves.

We spent most of our lives in school during teens. This is also the time where we are struggling to cope up with the world around us. We often seek comfort from our friends, discover something new about ourselves, excel in everything, and to grow maturely over the years. The school has witnessed our growing stage, the same goes with my characters and on how they dealt with everything that happened into their lives with the Cambridge Academy being in their journey.

In this series, the genre will mainly focus on teen fiction. A lot of readers are teens and are also searching for a school series, I believe that they can relate with my characters. This series can be their escape from loads of school works and they can also meet a familiarity with the situations written there.

3. Past vs Future (Stand-alone)

Undeniably, my favorite plot. I am proud to say that I wrote this story back when I was still on eight grade, at the age of thirteen. This is a time-travel kind of story with a touch of fantasy. Oftentimes, we can’t help but wonder about things that should have happened, should not have happened and may have happened. We can’t get these things off our minds, especially, when our present situation doesn’t please us.

There is a point in our lives where we wish for a miracle or a magic to happen that can make us bring back to the past to escape our present and change our fate. In the Past vs Future, I gave that opportunity to Devianna Althea. I wanted to give her the chance that won’t be given to me.

I want her to experience one of the things that most people desire; to go back in the past and change it. The ending of this story is anticipated, I also wanted you to await for it and join Devi’s journey in travelling back to the past. Will she really be able to change her fate?

4. Untold Story

From the title itself, “Untold Story.”

These are the compilations of my characters’ untold stories. I believe that even the supporting characters and those who have been given an extra roles in a story have an untold story to tell. And in this book, their untold stories have been unfold.

This is my first “special story,” I am planning to write another special story but let me see in the future if I can make it happen.

All of the entries in the Untold Story were from my characters of my finished books. Some of the happenings, scenarios and situations in their lives that weren’t written in their finished books can be seen and read in Untold Story.

After proudly presenting my thirteen stories and shamelessly plugging it too, I am hoping you give them a try and if I will to recommend something to you, I’d choose one-shot series for you can only finish it in one sitting.

My journey of being a Writer first started as a reader. Upon reading a lot of stories, my vocabulary widened until I was inspired to write as well.  I am not after the fame and money because writing is so much than that. I want to create a story that can be someone’s companion through hardships and have a story to read that will remind them not to give up in life if they are in the verge of giving up.

Wattpad opened many doors to aspiring authors like me. When I discovered Wattpad, I also discovered my passion in reading and writing. It gave me an opportunity to write my own story. Opening a Wattpad app is like opening a portal to another dimension which exists only in my mind especially when I want to run away in this harsh reality, the fictional world is my escape.

If I happen to have readers someday, I will call them “aspirants,” and also for those who have showed me support from the very beginning. Knowing that someone is aspiring with me makes me want to call them an “aspirant.”

I believe that everyone of us have aspirations in life and whatever it is, let’s not give it up if it is the only thing that we love to do. Keep going and let’s aspire together.

Yours truly,

Clar ♡
